Achadizo´s hill fort

Very close to the sea and integrated into a recreational area, near the old fishing port of Cabo de Cruz, lies the Castro de Achadizo, one of the oldest in Galicia and therefore one of the most important.
Furthermore, it is one of the longest-occupied, practically throughout the entire Iron Age. Excavations at the end of the 20th century revealed part of the ancient wall, built between the 6th and 5th centuries BC, and several residential structures, in addition to ceramic remains of containers, bones, and bronze objects. It is conveniently signposted and converted into a museum.
