Santa M.ª La Antigua do Caramiñal church

The Church of Santa María a Antiga do Caramiñal is a religious building dating from the 16th century, which also includes later elements (18th century), following its remodeling and consecration in 1702.
Its main nave, the coat of arms at the entrance, and the image of the Virgin Mary alongside Saint Paul and Saint Peter in the tympanum of the portal are noteworthy. The presbytery is decorated with the coats of arms of the Marquises of Parga, in honor of the lords of the area at their consecration. The apse is Renaissance, and the altarpieces are Baroque and ostentatiously decorated. It is undoubtedly one of the most important religious temples in A Pobra do Caramiñal and the region, and one of the most visited.
